Brave Combo occurs as polka/rock band based within Denton, Texas. Based around 1979 by guitarist/keyboardist/accordianist Carl Finch, they keep close at hand been the large fixture in the Texas music scene for over twenty years. It won the Grammy award in 1999 in the Polka album category for their album Polkasonic, and over againside in 2005 for their album ''Let's Kiss''. Their music, two originals & covers, incorporates the total of dance styles, mostly polka, but as well rhumba, cha-cha, choro, samba, two-step, cumbia, charanga, merengue, etc. When a share of their perceived artistic mission to exp& a musical tastes of their auditor, it use typically played and record sleeve of easily-known songs inside a style radically different from either the original versions. Examples include polka versions of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze" and The Doors' "People are Strange", & The Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" as a cha-cha. When their records could have a feel of humor even, it is played straight & non unremarkably considered joke or novelty records.

Media appearances
Finch & more band members mass produced cameo appearances within Talking Heads leader David Byrne's 1986 movie True Stories, set around the fabricated Texas town. Their song "Busy Office Rhumba" wwhen utilized as a theme for the 1993 Fox series Bakersfield P.D. The band processed the short appearance, when alive numbers, on the March 21, 2004 episode of The Simpsons. They wrote & performed a theme song for the 2005 series "ESPN Bowling Night".
